With simplicity and wonder, Zen means discovering the true nature of reality. But to truly understand Zen, you must try it for yourself.
If you’re new to Zen or our community, we invite you to join us for an Introduction to Zen session. Although there are many books and videos out there that teach meditation technique, we’ve found that the best way to learn how to meditate, is in person with a trained teacher, where you can receive personal and relevant guidance.
We offer a one-hour Introduction to Zen Workshop on the first Sunday of each month from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm (except for December 2021). This class will give you basic information about how to practice meditation, with particular attention to the body, breath and mind. There will be ample opportunity to ask questions and try different techniques. All kinds of body types and physical conditions can access this ancient tradition of meditation. Working with one of our teachers, we help to make it as comfortable and practical as possible. Please register for the next available workshop. Dana (donation) is welcome, though it is not required.
